Facade

The STL for the facade I found on Thingiverse created by Curufin. This is a sample of the Building Facade Set One from Hero’s Hoard. www.heroshoard.com . You can purchase more from the creator’s website but this particular facade was free on Thingiverse. My husband and I decided to do a test print to see how the facade would turn out and how we could use this with our games. Over all it is a nice piece with great detail, but we probably won’t do more facades at this point. However, there are similar building/shop fronts in a kickstarter that we have backed from Printable Scenery you may see in the future.

I printed this piece in early August of 2019 on our Ender 3 using eSUN PLA+ Filament plastic.

This piece has been primed with vehicle primer filler to cover some of the prints layer lines then under coated in flat black. For the wood I have dry brushed in Monte Morte burnt sienna and then dry brushed with Monte Morte yellow ochre. The windows and trimmings have been painted using a variety of Army painter, Vallejo and Citadel paints. I have painted the windows a light blue and all the trimmings have been painted silver.
