Saw Mill

I found the Saw Mill on Thingiverse by Feroxxy, WoW-inspired Fantasy Lumber Mill 28mm. As my husband and I met playing WoW this had some fond memories of playing WoW and of course was immediately download and printed on our Ender 3 using eSUN PLA+ Filament plastic.

I painted this in early November of 2019 using the Monte Morte paint range.

This piece has been primed with vehicle primer filler to cover some of the prints layer lines then under coated in flat black. For the wood I have dry brushed in Monte Morte burnt sienna and then dry brushed with yellow ochre. The roof has been painted with Monte Morte Phthalo blue, then dry brushed with Monte Morte Cobalt blue. The silver is a mix of Monte Morte silver and lamp black.

The saw mill can also be used in DnD and still needs all the weathering and foliage to be completed on this print.

Evil Sorcerer's Tower

This is one of my favourite pieces my husband and I have printed so far. I am still a little confused about the positioning of the lights hanging outside the balcony but this piece still amazes me with the extent of detail inside and out and is so beautiful to look at. The Evil sorcerer’s Tower would be perfect as a centrepiece, as a look out over our city.

This piece is a total labour of love with seven detailed pieces and a height to go with it all.

The Piece has hinged doors, removable roofs and multiple storeys, it prints without supports as separate levels.

This product is delivered as a .ZIP file pack containing STL files for use on a home 3D Printer. The files are set to 28mm scale but can be rescaled before printing.

It has been printed on our Ender 3 using eSUN PLA+ Filament plastic for games of Frostgrave and DnD. I have painted this piece in October of 2019 using Monte Morte paint range and Citadel lead belcher.

The silver is a mix of Monte Morte silver and lamp black on the windows and door, for the reverts I used citadel lead belcher. I have used an Army Painter cream for the render.

I am looking into how to incorporate ways to light up the inside of all my buildings and still need to do all the weathering and foliage on every print. I am also looking into finding furnishing to suit, making it stand out even more when on the gaming table.

Some of our roof tips have snapped off in a fall so in the future this will be re printed and fixed.

Merchant and Market

Hi all this is another stunning piece from printable scenery called Merchants and Market you can visit their site at www.printablescenery.com. I know this piece has been around for a while now but it’s still one of my favourites, probably because I like the busy market idea for a fantasy medieval feel to a game setting and this building with its shaded over hang gives me a whole lot of inspiration.

I am looking forward to crowding the model with market stalls, fruit carts and a whole bunch of townsfolk when my resin printer arrives, as I have found printing these more delicate items do not turn out as nice on a PLA printer.

The Merchants and Market pack comes complete with building, barrels, sacks and baskets. It also contains a solid version that will be useful for scaling and printing out at 33% (10mm scale).

The 6.2 update has had significant remodelling of textures applied to most parts of the building in line with new and refined 3D modelling techniques, but the original version is still available in the legacy folder when downloaded.
